I’ve had several people reaching out to me lately about my new career transition, and what exactly I have been up to these past few months. I feel like I’ve fallen off the grid a bit with the excessive amount of hours I’ve been putting in outside of my 9-5, and Beers to Careers has been dormant because of that.
If I recall a couple weeks ago I calculated that I put in 80-90 hours total in one week, which was very stressful to say the least. So what have I been doing with my time? Last week I was invited to speak at the University of Northern Iowa again, but this time for the Pi Sigma Epsilon (PSE)student organization. As a former member of PSE I had a blast speaking to my former student org members about personal branding, LinkedIn advice, my marketing career thus far, and an insightful Q&A portion at the end.
This was another great experience for me to get outside my comfort zone and help current college students learn more about the real world transition.
